NEW SOLUTION: CHEMICAL REQUEST PROCESS
What’s New: If you need to make a request or replenish a specific chemical onsite at your business, you can now set up a formal Chemical Request Process in Origami. This feature will:
- Ask questions to evaluate and ensure the chemical is fit-for-use
- Assign reviewers to the request via notification emails
- Give reviewers the ability to approve or reject a request and add commentary if necessary
How It Benefits You:
If you currently do not have a process for requesting chemicals or have one in place that is manual, you may not have the best paper trail or tracking needed to refer to in the event of an incident regarding chemicals. Formalizing and documenting this process ensures your organization is aware and updated on chemical management, storage, and usage.
Chemical Management Enhancements
Hazard Statement Pictograms
When editing a chemical in Origami, there are accompanying hazard statements for each one. With this update, the appropriate pictogram will automatically display on your chemical’s record based on the hazard statement chosen.
SDS Attachments
When editing a chemical in Origami, you now have the option to attach an SDS to that chemical. In the upload process, the SDS will automatically create a new document control for you in Origami, saving you time going through extra steps to create a new document control.
